Wedding Photo Sharing App for Modern Couples

Wedding Photo Sharing App for Modern Couples

A private wedding gallery where guests upload the memories – and you control the reveal.

Say Cheese turns every guest’s phone into a simple, secure wedding photo sharing tool.

Instead of chasing photos in group chats and email threads,
you create one private QR-code gallery for your big day.

  • Guests scan, snap or upload their favourite moments and everything lands in a single encrypted album that you control.

  • You decide how many photos each guest can add, when the gallery becomes visible, and whether you want a live slideshow during the party or a “day-after” reveal.

  • No app download, no accounts – just an effortless way to collect real, unfiltered wedding photos from every table, every dance circle and every quiet moment in between.

Guests scan your QR code and instantly see a clean, simple screen: take a photo, upload from the camera roll, hit send. That’s it. Works in any mobile browser – even for the least tech-savvy relatives.

All uploads land in one private gallery. You can keep it hidden during the day, or show a curated live slideshow on a TV or projector while the party is in full swing.

Frequently asked questions

Do organisers need to install an app?

No. Say Cheese is a web app. As a couple, planner or venue you set up and manage your wedding event in a browser, and guests join via a QR code or link on their phones. There’s nothing to install on your side or theirs.

What are the guest limits & configurations for a wedding?

Guest limits depend on the plan you choose, but you always stay in control. You decide how many people can join, how many photos each guest can upload, whether they can add videos, and how long the wedding event stays open. That way you can adapt Say Cheese to a small intimate ceremony or a 200-guest celebration.

Can I allow video at my wedding?

Yes. On eligible plans you can let guests upload short clips (for example 10-second videos) alongside photos. You can also switch video off entirely if you want to keep things simple and focus just on still shots.

Is an internet connection required?

Yes, guests need an internet connection to open the QR link and upload their photos or clips. If the signal at your venue is patchy, guests can still take photos with their native camera app and upload them later from the same link once they’re back on Wi-Fi or better coverage.

Can multiple admins manage a wedding event?

Yes. You can invite co-organisers (for example your partner, wedding planner, MC or photographer) to help approve photos, run the live slideshow and manage the gallery. This makes it easy to share the workload on the day.

Can I hide the album until the end of the wedding?

Absolutely. You can keep the gallery private during the ceremony and reception so only admins can see incoming photos. When you’re ready, you can reveal everything at once or run a curated slideshow for a “big reveal” moment at the end of the night or the next day.

How does encryption work for wedding photos?

For encrypted events, photos and videos are encrypted in the guest’s browser before they ever leave the phone, using an event-specific key. Our servers only receive and store ciphertext, which means nobody at Say Cheese can see your wedding photos – only people with access to the event key can decrypt them.

Where are media files stored?

Encrypted data and media are stored on Amazon S3, using industry-standard secure storage with encryption at rest. In practice, this means your wedding gallery sits on battle-tested infrastructure rather than on a random hard drive or shared social account.

How long will our wedding gallery stay online, and can we download everything?

Each plan comes with a defined storage period. At any point you can download all photos and clips in bulk and keep them forever in your own archive. We store media in high quality, and we don’t add watermarks.

What about guests who don’t have a smartphone or don’t want to use the QR code?

They can still be part of the story. Guests without smartphones can ask someone at their table to snap a photo of them and upload it. You or your photographer can also upload extra photos to the gallery after the wedding, so everyone still appears in the final collection.
