Share one simple link with grandparents or relatives abroad. They can see new photos as they appear and add their own memories when the family visits.
Create separate albums for summer holidays, skiing trips or big family reunions, or keep everything in one timeline-style gallery – you decide how to structure your family history.
You don’t need a social network or a new app for everyone to install. In three steps, your family has a private, shared album that just works.

No. Say Cheese works in the browser. You create the family album online, then share a link or QR code. Family members open it on their phone, tablet or computer – no app downloads or separate accounts required.
Yes. You can keep family albums open for weeks, months or years, depending on your plan. Many families create one main album that runs continuously, plus additional albums for special trips or occasions.
That depends on your plan, but the setup is flexible. You can use Say Cheese with just your immediate family or invite a wider circle of grandparents, aunts, uncles and close friends. You control who gets the link or QR code.
Yes. On eligible plans you can allow short clips alongside photos – ideal for first steps, birthday songs, holiday waves or school performances. You can also switch video off if you prefer to keep the album photo-only.
Yes, a data or Wi-Fi connection is needed to open the link and upload photos or clips. If someone has a poor signal, they can still take photos with their phone and upload them later from the same link when they’re back on a better connection.
Definitely. The interface is intentionally simple: they open a link, see the gallery, and tap to add or view photos. Because it runs in the browser, there’s no need to remember passwords or learn a new social network.
Albums are private by default. Only people with the link (and, for encrypted events, the key) can view or add content. You can remove any photo you’re not comfortable with, and you’re never forced to share anything publicly on social media.
For encrypted albums, photos and videos are encrypted in the browser before they leave the device, using an album-specific key. Our servers store only encrypted data, which means no one at Say Cheese can view your family photos – only those with access to the key can decrypt them.
Media is stored securely on cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest. You can download your entire family album at any time as a backup or for creating printed books. We don’t apply watermarks or compress images beyond what’s needed for efficient viewing.
Yes. You can set up as many separate albums as your plan allows – for example one per child, one per year, or albums for specific trips and reunions. Each album has its own link and settings, so you can share different albums with different parts of your family.
