No. Say Cheese runs in the browser. You create the party gallery and share QR codes or links. Guests scan with their phone and can start adding or viewing photos in seconds – no app store, no account.
Is Say Cheese suitable for both office parties and private family gatherings?
Yes. You can use the same tool for a corporate Christmas party, a team dinner, a family Christmas or a friends’ Secret Santa night. Each event gets its own gallery, QR code and settings.
How many guests can upload to a Christmas party gallery?
That depends on your plan, but Say Cheese easily covers everything from a small living room gathering to a large company event. You can set upload limits per person to keep the gallery balanced and avoid spam.
Can we allow short videos as well as photos?
Yes. On eligible plans you can enable short clips alongside photos, which is great for toasts, reactions to gifts and dance floor moments. You can also keep events photo-only if that suits your group better.
Is an internet connection required during the party?
Yes, guests need mobile data or Wi-Fi to open the QR link and upload content. If someone has a poor connection, they can still take photos with their phone and upload later from the same link when they’re back online.
Can multiple hosts manage the Christmas party gallery?
Definitely. You can add co-admins, for example another colleague, partner or friend, so more than one person can keep an eye on uploads, clean the gallery and download photos afterwards.
Can we keep our Christmas party photos private?
Yes. Galleries are private by default and not tied to public social networks. Only people with the link (and, for encrypted events, the key) can view the content. You decide who receives the link and what remains visible.
Is it possible to hide certain photos from the shared view?
Yes. As an organiser you can hide or delete any upload that shouldn’t remain in the album. This gives you flexibility: keep the fun moments, remove anything that doesn’t fit the tone or that someone later wants to take down.
Where are the photos stored and can we download them after the party?
Media is stored securely on cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest. After the party, you can download all photos and clips in bulk and keep them as a shared album, or select only the best for a recap email or next year’s invite.
Can we reuse Say Cheese for future events beyond Christmas?
Yes. You can create unlimited galleries throughout the year – for New Year’s Eve, birthdays, company offsites, team events and more. Many people start with a Christmas party and then keep using Say Cheese for other gatherings.
